Compliments of the new season to team BoMRA and welcome back! I hope you celebrated the start of the new year safely with family and friends in view of the recent concerns of spikes of COVID-19 cases in certain parts of the world.

As we mark the beginning of the new year 2023 and the final quarter of the financial year 2022/23. I want to take a moment to reflect on the year 2022 and thank you all for the immense contributions over the past 12 months

Let me from the outset express my gratitude to the BoMRA board for entrusting me with the responsibility to steer the organisation through the transition leading up to the appointment of a new CEO.

The transition follows the end of tenure for DR Stephen Ghanie as BoMRA’s CEO after five illustrious years. I pay tribute to Dr Ghanie for his service and leadership as the founding CEO in providing strategic direction for the organisation, it values, mission and vision.

I would lime to call on all staff to embrace this transition and enable us to seamlessly move forward together. The transition does not bring any changes to our mandate and operations, except that wee will together carry on the legacy of a high performance culture and set the tone for the next strategic period to commence in the year 2025. There is therefore no cause for uncertainty and discomfort as the ship remains on course. I am confident that I can count on the support from every member of staff in delivering on the goals set before us.

I am certain we will ensure minimum disruptions and forge ahead in the implementation of strategic objectives, and most importantly maintain the trust and confidence of the shareholder and the public.

The work is more important than ever today, assuring access to medical products of good quality is a huge responsibility assigned to us by the government. As we look to the future, I wish to urge all of us to engineer our processes in the context of the environment we exist in, with al its inherit challenges. Moreover the impact of our good work must not only be felt by us within the organisation but should more importantly be tangible to the public we serve.

Let me thank you again for the continued commitment. Every one of us has an important role to play. I am confident that together we are destined for greater achievements.

I wish you and your loved ones a happy and prosperous 2023.
