The word “heritage” brings to mind different ideas for different people—and it should. Heritage is a person’s unique, inherited sense of family identity: the values, traditions, culture, and artifacts handed down by previous generations. Our land 57 years later, is still blessed and at peace. This is made possible by visionary leaders with an even greater vision for this country.
As we prepare to celebrate President’s Day on the 17th of July with our fellow Batswana, let us be reminded of the heritage our forefathers have indeed left to us. We have come a long way as a Nation and the Authority, we have been blessed to have visionary leaders who have always been passionate and worked hard for the growth and prosperity of Botswana and BoMRA.
As we look towards a more united future, remembering the great figures from our past and what they stood for has perhaps never been more important. Presidents’ Day is viewed as a time of patriotic celebration and remembrance.
As an organization in a quest to reach Maturity Level 3, BoMRA is committed to the principles of freedom and democracy sought to embed at the heart of our nation.
I wish you all a safe and pleasant long weekend. Happy President’s Day!
Best
